During a performance at country music’s iconic Midnite Jamboree on December 21, 2019, host Jeannie Seely and featured artist Tim Atwood asked their fans and friends in attendance to bring a donation to benefit the dogs and cats who found themselves in Nashville animal shelters at the start of a new year.  The mission was labeled “Santa Paws Is Coming To Town.” The response was overwhelming.

It took a horse trailer to transport all of the food, blankets, animal beds, puppy pads, cat litter, cleaning supplies, pet toys and treats donated by the animal lovers in the audience to the Nashville Humane Association and Metro Animal Care & Control.

“I’m so glad our mission was a success,” Tim said.  “I know these shelters work hard to find forever homes for these animals, and we want these dogs and cats to be comfortable until that day comes.  Our dog Jazz came from a shelter. Every time he looks at us, we see unconditional love. Jazz is family.”

Jeannie Seely’s “Santa Paws Is Coming To Town” is already in the books for next year.  It will be December 19, 2020 at the Midnite Jamboree at Nashville’s Texas Troubadour Theatre.
